Another great thing to do in Atlanta is to visit its many gardens. Especially high on this list is the Swan House Gardens grounds. The gardens take their inspiration from two centuries ago and have been called breathtaking by many. They were built in the early 1900\u2019s and create a feeling of peace for many who visit. Another great place to venture if you like gardens is the Mary Howard Gilbert Quarry Garden. What is special about this garden is that it has one of the most complete collections of plants native to the area. Some of these plants are so rare that they are in danger of extinction. This is your chance to get a glimpse of vegetation that you may not see anywhere else.<\/p>\n

Historic Houses<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you have made it to the Swan House Gardens then you already got a glimpse of the historic Swan House. You may have seen the Swan House in pictures before; after all it is one of the most photographed tourist attractions in the area. You can take one of many guided tours to see the home of one of the wealthiest families of the era. Another great historic home to visit is that of Margaret Mitchel; the author of \u201cGone with the Wind.\u201d This is one of the most interesting places to visit because it is not only the house of this famous author but the historic society will also include information on other prominent authors of the city. All of these sights and more await you in this beautiful city.<\/p>\n
