Flint RiverQuariam \u2013 Albany (40 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Head over to the Flint River and experience something unique, it\u2019s an aquarium on the river and it\u2019s got a special blue hole spring where you can come face to face with over 120 interesting creatures. There\u2019s more than 100 species of native aquatic life to enjoy and they\u2019ve recently added an aviary and don\u2019t miss the alligator feeding!<\/p>\n

Chehaw Wild Animal Park \u2013 Albany (40 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Enjoy animals at the Chehaw Wild Animal Park, it\u2019s named after the indigenous tribe that lived on the Creek. The original animals came from the zoo in Tifton, but now they come from all over and the park was accredited by the AZA in 1997. There\u2019s an education center, a BMX Bike track, a playground and more \u2013 you\u2019ll never get bored.<\/p>\n

Wild Adventures Theme Park \u2013 Valdosta (45 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you like a lot of action on a day out, you could do worse than the Wild Adventures Theme Park with around 50 rides and roller coasters it\u2019s a day out you won\u2019t forget and your family will love. There are animals galore too, with a wonderful aviary for looking at exotic bird life. And don\u2019t forget the daily shows and exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Lake Park Outlets \u2013 Lake Park (50 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

For something a little more sedate, why not go shopping in one of Georgia\u2019s best outlet malls? You\u2019ll find great bargains for all the family and there\u2019s nothing quite like a new wardrobe to go with a new home is there?<\/p>\n

Pebble Hill Plantation \u2013 Thomasville (30 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Enjoy the history of the South on this gorgeous historic plantation, a beautiful stately home and attractive grounds make it a Southern Belle you\u2019ll want to visit again and again.<\/p>\n

Providence Canyons State Park \u2013 Lumpkin (90 minute drive)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Providence Canyons is known as the \u201clittle grand canyon\u201d for its spectacular views and unspoiled scenery, the canyons (or gullies) are a result of bad farming practices back in the 1800\u2019s but today they make for a majestic view.<\/p>\n
